Hope by the grace of Almighty all of you are in the best of health & mind.
It’s after long procedures and formalities we, the Bangladesh Marchant Marine Officers’ Association (BMMOA) & Bangladesh Merchant Navy Officers’ Benevolent Fund (BMNOBF) have merged/amalgamated.
A new Bank account at BRAC Bank Ltd. has been opened which is now in operation in the name of BMNOBF. Any Bangladeshi seafarer fulfilling the eligible criteria can become a Life member since; there is no more option to become a general member.
(A) Eligibility to become a Life Member of BMNOBF: –
Any Bangladeshi Seafarers having CDC/SID/CoC are eligible to become a Life Member of BMNOBF. In addition, He/she must be a member of BMMOA with updated payment of all dues and subscription (s).
(B) To become a Life Member, need to do the following: –
- Fill up form A, either the soft copy or the scanned copy mentioning the NID & the “Next of Kin”.
- Deposit BDT 30,000 (Thirty Thousand Only) to the bank account given below. Please note this amount of BDT 30,000.00 is valid till 30th June 2024.

- Provide 2 (Two) copies of your recent passport-size photograph (colour).
- Provide 2 (Two) copies of your “Next of Kin” recent passport size photographs (colour), attested by you the applicant.
(C) Beneficiary/ Beneficiaries of the LM of BMNOBF:
The Beneficiary / Beneficiaries of the Life Member are defined into 2 (Two) criteria.
(a) Next of Kin: Husband or Wife and Children (If married or having children);
(b) Next of Kin: Father or Mother (If unmarried or divorced);
(D) Eligibility/ Qualifications criteria to avail benefits/support during urgent and actual need approved by the advisory board / EC Committee: –
Financial benefits are only applicable after one year of full payment of the Subscription with the approval of the Sub and Advisory committee laid down in the constitution / SOP / MOU / Agreement. A detailed SOP is to be prepared in light of the present constitution.
(E) Age bar to become a Life Member of BMNOBF: –
The age barrier is 60 years for becoming a Life Member of BMNOBF.

Upon receiving the soft copies through email we will confirm the membership number, after the confirmation of the Membership Number need to send the originals by hand or by courier to the address given in the brochure or below for our record and preservation.
